La nigériane Amina Mohamed a été nommée vice Secrétaire Général de l'Organisation des Nations Unies par Antonio Guterres, le tout nouveau Secrétaire Général de l'ONU.
Ainsi, l'actuelle ministre de l'environnement du Nigeria devient le numéro 2 de l'ONU après avoir été conseillère spéciale de Ban Ki-Moon particulièrement pour la mise en œuvre des Objectifs de développement durable à l'horizon 2030.
